Caltron’s 8(8.4) Inch Industrial 4:3 Aspect Ratio 5-Wire Resistive LED Backlit LCD Open Frame Touch Screen Monitor comes in two model types. The LBT-0842OTEAR has RS232 Serial touch screen open frame interface, the LBT-0842OTEARU has USB touch screen open frame interface. Both are perfect for industrial control panels or keypad use.
One of the most difficult questions that people ask themselves or have to consider is generally, "is this the right monitor for me? Does it have the required brightess for my application? Why do I need an open frame touch screen monitor? Why can't I just use a consumer grade touch screen? There are definitely valid answers to all of those questions. An 8.4" touch screen monitor is more rare and would be much more difficult to find in a consumer grade level. LED backlit monitors have a fairly high brightness rating that is perfect for areas with high ambient lighting. The LBT-0842OTEAR, 8" LED LCD resistive touchscreen open frame monitor is one of Caltron's newest products and can be used in projects such as instrumentation panels, kiosks and signage displays.
